Abigail Rogers is originally from Wellesley, Massachusetts, and is graduating from the University of Michigan with a BM in cello performance and a BS in cellular and molecular biology. At SMTD, Abigail enjoyed being part of the studios of Professors Amir Eldan and Anthony Elliott. She was involved in the University Symphony Orchestra, various chamber music ensembles, and she performed in the 2020 Collage concert in a hybrid ballet-and-music work. While at the university, Abigail was also involved in the Michigan Community Scholars Program, held a resident advisor position, and was co-president of the university’s ballet company, Salto Dance Company, where she danced with and choreographed for the company. She also worked in the lab of Dhananjay Yellajoshyula studying primary dystonia in the Department of Neurology of Michigan Medicine. Abigail hopes to pursue a graduate degree in biomedical science, while continuing to be involved in cello and music
