Ben Rodenmeyer was raised in Jackson, Mississippi in a loving and artistic family. He is thrilled to be graduating from U-M’s BFA acting program. In SMTD, Ben worked on- and off-stage, from playing Malvolio in Twelfth Night to coordinating video production for Basement Arts. Their studies at Michigan eventually led them to Los Angeles where Ben has explored many sides of the entertainment industry including casting, development and acting. Ben is passionate about amplifying queer narratives in media, redefining the boundaries of theatre, and enjoying good music.


Ben’s favorite performance credits include Twelfth Night, Sense & Sensibility, Edith Can Shoot Things & Hit Them, Cloud Nine, and a short with M-Agination Films.
Ben also appeared in the 2019 music video “Joanna” for the pop/r&b singer, Jojo.
They served for two years on the Basement Arts Board as the Associate Artistic Director and Video Production Coordinator.
Ben worked as a casting producer on a student run reality show.
Recently, they interned in Talent & Casting for CBS Network and Telsey + Company in Los Angeles.
