Grant Prater is a senior graduating summa cum laude who hails from Monroe, Michigan. He majored in music (BA) with minors in history and business enrolled in the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts and the Ross School of Business. Grant has always had a passion for music. He was a four-year member of the trumpet section in the Michigan Marching Band, participated in the Michigan Hockey Band, and the Michigan University Band. Additionally, Grant is an active member of Kappa Kappa Psi, the National Honorary Band Fraternity. Grant plans to attend graduate school to pursue a master’s in music education with certification and has already been accepted to multiple schools. He is supported by his parents, Craig Prater and Cheryl Sweeney, and his brother Drew who also attends the University of Michigan.
