Hannah Stater is a harpist graduating with her master’s degree in harp performance from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance under the instruction of Prof. Joan Raeburn Holland. In Fall 2019 and Winter 2020 semesters, she was the principal harpist of the SMTD University Symphony Orchestra and Symphony Band simultaneously, and performed numerous works such as Puccini’s La Bohème, Michael Daugherty’s Bells for Stokowski, Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, Mahler Symphony No. 5, Mussorgsky/Ravel’s Pictures at an Exhibition, and many more. Stater completed her undergraduate degree summa cum laude in harp performance at the Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music with Prof. Jody Guinn. There, she also had private piano lessons with Dr. Zarina Melik-Stepanova and tutored conservatory students in music theory, aural skills, piano proficiency, music history, and counterpoint. Upon graduating, Stater plans to base herself in Fort Myers, FL to work with Jade Strings. She also plans to release an original EP in the next year.
