Kayla Fiore is a dancer, choreographer, entrepreneur, and arts activist from the Chicagoland area in Illinois. She is receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance and a minor in performing arts management and entrepreneurship at the University of Michigan. Kayla is the 2021 Dean’s Liaison for the EXCEL Lab in the School of Music, Theatre & Dance. For the past two years, Kayla has been treasurer on the Executive Board for Dance Student Assembly. She was also on the production team for Arts in Color’s “Range of Reaction” 2020 Showcase; an annual performance committed to showcasing diverse work within the social justice and arts sector. Kayla also choreographed and performed in the Arts in Color 2019 Showcase. Additionally, Kayla has traveled to Paris and Berlin to study dance and art history, while working with choreographers from around the globe. She is grateful to be awarded the A. Elaine Bychinsky Award for Performers of Promise in Dance from 2017 through 2021.
