Bachelor of Music
Music Education; Instrumental
Bachelor of Music
Performance; Clarinet

Born and raised in Nashville by two musical parents, Rebecca knew she wanted to pursue music by the time she was 13.

In the fall of 2016, Rebecca began her studies at the University of Michigan with Chad Burrow and Dan Gilbert. Throughout her college years, she was honored to serve the band program as a student music librarian and a member of stage crew. Additionally, she is so thankful for the education she received from the music education faculty, as well as her involvement in Sigma Alpha Iota. Chamber music, in particular her quintet named the “Raucous Wind Quintet,” became a crucial and indelible component of Rebecca’s musical development. She considers the other four members of her quintet to be some of the best musicians she knows— as well as some of the most wonderful people she’s ever met.

She is looking forward to continuing her performances on both clarinet and piano, and hopes to teach full-time as a middle or high school band director.

When not teaching or performing, Rebecca loves to rewatch The West Wing with her family, and hang out with her kitten, Danny.
