Sara Fox is a dancer and choreographer originally from the Chicagoland area. Along with her BFA in dance, Sara is also receiving minors in biology and gender & health. Throughout these four years, Sara was able to explore a variety of techniques through the department and has been able to study with many talented choreographers and artists from around the globe. Some of her summer training has included studying with the Batsheva Dance Company, Elements Dance Company, Hubbard Street, and this past summer, she was featured in gARTisART Qrntn Mgk visual album.
Throughout her time at the University, Sara has been an active member of Cadence Dance Company and this past year she has taken on the role of co-presidency. She has also been a featured choreographer for their performances in Ann Arbor. In addition to choreographing for Cadence, Sara was also one of the chosen junior dance majors to choreograph for the Freshman Year Touring Company.
After graduation Sara is moving to NYC to participate in a teaching fellowship program working in elementary schools in underserved areas of the city. She plans to pursue dance while also teaching. Sara has enjoyed her time at Michigan and is sad to see her final year fly by.
